Hollyoaks at the Powerhouse!

As you may know, Mobile Movies has been delivering film making workshops to 12 residents from the Powerhouse Foyer, an inner city housing and training facility for young people. Powerhouse Foyer offers accommodation to 52 young people at risk of homelessness.

The workshops, which have been designed and delivered by Chris and Jeff, were well received by the young people and have resulted in the creation of some fantastic short films.

On 23rd October Emma Rigby who plays the character Hannah in Hollyoaks came along to a Mobile Movies session to meet some our young film makers (as well as some of the old ones like Chaddy & Stenson!).

The aim of Emma's visit was to raise awareness about the project in the local and regional media as well as sharing her experiences as an actor and giving the young people some tips on their own filmmaking and acting plans.

The visit was a great success and will feature in the Community Channel programme Charge www.chargetv.co.uk
