On Monday 12th December, The International Centre for Digital Content was the chosen venue for the long awaited unveiling of the final report on Entrepreneurship, from The Merseyside Entrepreneurship Commission (a joint project between Phil Redmond and The Merseyside Chambers of Commerce).

Following the launch of the report and a series of short seminars the afternoon commenced with a "Dragons Den" style event organized by ICDC. The event consisted of five aspiring entrepreneurs who in turn pitched their ideas to secure a 5000 prize to invest in their business venture!

The event proved extremely successful and the competition was so close that the Dragon's could not decide on a winner between "Text & Sell" and "UKauctioneers", therefore the 5,000 prize was split between the two companies. Director of UKauctioneers, Eileen McCarthy comments "We are thrilled. Winning this prize is a perfect way to finish our first year in business it's fantastic to have people recognise our potential and re-enforces our determination to make the site an unqualified success".
